A Patch of Heaven is an illustrated children's storybook about a child who journeys across the night sky searching for a parent who has died, and learns that love outlasts loss. It was written by Gracia Lim Wee Kuan, a Singapore medical social worker and art therapist of more than 30 years, and is made for children aged 3 to 12 and the families, caregivers and educators supporting them.
The storybook comes with companion activity books for ages 3 to 6 and ages 7 to 12, with drawing, colouring and journaling activities that help a grieving child name what they feel and remember the person they lost. Digital and printed editions are available.

Timmy feels his heart bursting with excitement!

Timmy smiles. He feels strangely comforted by the yellow crescent moon.

The trees sway and bend in the strong wind and rain, looking like shadowy monsters reaching out for Timmy in the darkness.

He tries to look for Moon, but Moon is not there. Timmy stumbles along and finds a canopy of branches he can seek shelter in.

Timmy sobs as big, strong feelings hit him hard. He has not felt this way since Mama passed away.
